We showed our rough cut of our opening sequence to varied demographics and got their feedback. Included in this feedback was the following
Sound
We were told that we should put the whistle of a train leaving the station in-between the two pieces of music. We therefore went onto the internet to find the right sound and loaded it onto our film in sync with the time that the train pulls out of the station on our establishing wide shot
Editing
after people viewing our opening sequence we were told that we should make the MSN conversations longer as people were finding it hard to read it in time. To sort this problem we got someone who has never seen our opening sequence before to watch it and tell us when they had read it and we did this process a few times to make sure that the conversations were of the right speed.
We were also told to speed up parts of our production as there were many parts of the filming that were quite slow and didn’t quite fit in with the fast paced music, we therefore decided to fasten up some of our shots e.g. the painting of the nails so as it fitted in with the speed of the music.
Filming
When we showed our rough cut to some of our friends who are within the target audience for out opening sequence they told us that there were a few shots in it that didn't need to be there anymore so our group got together and discussed whether we needed these shots still and came to the conclusion that some of our shots were meaningless and should be taken out.
