Drawn Story Boards
Above are our original drawn storyboards. However we didn't use all of our shots as there were many shots that we decided after filming them that they were no appropriate and not needed in out opening sequence.

Brief
We have been asked to create a opening sequence for a film in a genre of our choice. This opening sequence has to be a maximum of two minutes and aimed at a target audience of our choice. We had to decide upon our target audience and genre. We must show awareness of the genre and plan, produce and edit the film.

Pitch
Premise
A girl and boy arrange to meet up after having a brief relationship online. Neither of them are aware that they are from two different worlds.
Genre
The genre that we have chosen to make our film on is Romantic Comedy. We thought that it would be ideal to use this drama as it makes every believe in true love. Some films in this genre include: Sex and the city; there’s something about Mary and 27 dresses.
Target Audience
The target audience for our film is adults aged around 20 years and younger. This film is a romantic comedy and the general target audience for this is aged 20. We think that if they are a lot younger than this may not understand it. To ensure we had a correct target audience we sent out a questionnaire to find out people's likes and dislikes. We found that the target audience we estimated was correct. People stereotypically referred to romantic comedies as having a couple who fall in love despite their differences.
Plot
A girl is talking to a boy on the Internet and he eventually asks to meet up. The girl is hesitant to reply but says yes in the end. The girl believes that the boy is a really fit boy but really he is a geek. The girl gets ready with her friends and arranges to meet the boy at Billericay station. When the boy gets off the train to meet the girl she is shocked to see who the real boy is. We decided that we would make the boy seem like an outcast and a stereotypical geek as this would attract the audience and show the representation of different stereotypes within our film.

We have decided to make a shot of a really fit guy so that the audience think that is who she is meeting this makes the audience want to watch on.

Props Planning
Glasses
We have decided to use geek glass with tape wrapped around them, as it is a typical stereotype of a geek. It also emphasises the fact that she think she is meeting someone really fit and then he turns up. The use of the tape shows that he could be clumsy therefore always breaking his glasses and just using tape because he can’t afford to buy new ones.
Hair gel
We decided to use hair gel, as it will make everything think that the boy is really cool spiking his hair up. During the getting ready section of the film we never see his face so these props are essential for the audience to establish an image of the person. We have used props to make it look like the boy is cool and then we have decided to make him geeky to fall everyone into thinking he is cool.
Laptop
The laptop is a common indicator of young people. The use of msn on laptop is also an indicator to the audience that although we cannot see the people’s faces they are off a young age (university students). We have also decided to show a picture of a fit guy, as this will make the audience think that that is whom she is going to meet.
Nail Varnish
We decided to use nail varnish, as it will look like a girly night in getting all dressed up to meet a boy. It will show closeness with the girl and her friends. She is going to meet a boy and the girls friends are helping her to get ready by doing her hair nails and make up.
Train Ticket
We decided to use a train ticket to make it look like he was actually making the train journey. We decided to make the credits appear on the train ticket, as it is an interesting use of a prop. This prop will indicate the fact that he has travelled to meet this girl.
