DVD Cover

Target Audience

Our target audience will be aimed at young adults and teenagers approximately aged14-22. Due to the choice of genre, the audience are most likely to be female as we discovered from research and questionnaires we carried out that females prefer this genre. The likable and relatable characters will draw in the audience, as their representations are realistic to those of teenagers in the present time. We also kept various features in our opening sequence modern. For example: music choices, interesting shot types, locations and characters to interest the audience. Our film will be classified as a certificate 12 as it will contain some mild language that will be unacceptable for anyone under the age of 12.

Drawn Story Boards

Above are our original drawn storyboards. However we didn't use all of our shots as there were many shots that we decided after filming them that they were no appropriate and not needed in out opening sequence.

Costumes

Shirt
This item of clothing represents his personality. It immediately lets the audience aware that he will be quite intellectual and that his personality will most probably not match Megan’s.

Glasses
This item signifies that the character has a stereotype and the audience will see this. This gives the audience an insight as to what his interests will be. His clothing choices are very different to hers, which shows that their personalities may be different.

Trousers

We decided to use cream trousers as this is not something that the majority of people his age would wear which shows that he is different from most people his age and may be an outcast. This also shows that he doesn’t really care what people think of him and does not follow the crowd.
Pink pajamas
We decided to use pink pajamas because we thought that this would portray what kind of person the character is. Pink is a very feminine colour and shows that the character is as well.

Day two clothes
We chose to use clothes that would be similarly worn by most other people that age. This shows that the character likes to follow the crowd and fits in with people.
