Distributers Logo

Above is our Distributers logo we chose to called it track pictures and thought that this picture was very relevant to it.

Feedback

We showed our rough cut of our opening sequence to varied demographics and got their feedback. Included in this feedback was the following

Sound
We were told that we should put the whistle of a train leaving the station in-between the two pieces of music. We therefore went onto the internet to find the right sound and loaded it onto our film in sync with the time that the train pulls out of the station on our establishing wide shot

Editing
after people viewing our opening sequence we were told that we should make the MSN conversations longer as people were finding it hard to read it in time. To sort this problem we got someone who has never seen our opening sequence before to watch it and tell us when they had read it and we did this process a few times to make sure that the conversations were of the right speed.

We were also told to speed up parts of our production as there were many parts of the filming that were quite slow and didn’t quite fit in with the fast paced music, we therefore decided to fasten up some of our shots e.g. the painting of the nails so as it fitted in with the speed of the music.

Filming
When we showed our rough cut to some of our friends who are within the target audience for out opening sequence they told us that there were a few shots in it that didn't need to be there anymore so our group got together and discussed whether we needed these shots still and came to the conclusion that some of our shots were meaningless
and should be taken out.

Bedroom Layout

Above is the layout of the girls bedroom. when we film we are going to add some teddys and some pink things to make the room more like that of a typical teenage girl. There will also be clothes thrown over the end of the bed as a typical teenager would have a slightly messy bedroom. This room however is going to be quite posh to show that she is of a high class.

Train Station Layout

This is the layout of one of the locations that we used. we decided to use a train station as many young people use trains as a form of transport.

Costumes

Shirt
This item of clothing represents his personality. It immediately lets the audience aware that he will be quite intellectual and that his personality will most probably not match Megan’s.

Glasses
This item signifies that the character has a stereotype and the audience will see this. This gives the audience an insight as to what his interests will be. His clothing choices are very different to hers, which shows that their personalities may be different.

Trousers

We decided to use cream trousers as this is not something that the majority of people his age would wear which shows that he is different from most people his age and may be an outcast. This also shows that he doesn’t really care what people think of him and does not follow the crowd.
Pink pajamas
We decided to use pink pajamas because we thought that this would portray what kind of person the character is. Pink is a very feminine colour and shows that the character is as well.

Day two clothes
We chose to use clothes that would be similarly worn by most other people that age. This shows that the character likes to follow the crowd and fits in with people.

Brief

We have been asked to create a opening sequence for a film in a genre of our choice. This opening sequence has to be a maximum of two minutes and aimed at a target audience of our choice. We had to decide upon our target audience and genre. We must show awareness of the genre and plan, produce and edit the film.
